Jocelyn Horsfall: Flowers and Foliage - A Painterly Perspective

On Thursday January 23rd at 7.15 for a 7.30pm start, our guest speaker, Jocelyn Horsfall, will be presenting "Flowers and Foliage - A Painterly Perspective" via Zoom. Visitors are most welcome - fee for the evening just £5.

Jocelyn Horsfall

Jocelyn Horsfall ARPS is an award-winning photographic artist, specialising in impressionistic images of flowers and foliage which will be the focus of the talk. This will include in the studio and outdoors through the seasons, covering the different techniques she uses with her camera, including textured glass, soft focus, multiple exposure and camera movement, plus a little creative processing too.

 

There will be a few landscapes at the beginning, as that is where she started out, and she will end with a few projects, series of images that work together to illustrate a theme. 


Jocelyn's recent awards in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition in 2023 were a Finalist (Magnolia Stellata) and Highly Commended (Glasshouse Leaf Patterns) in the Captured at Kew category, and a Highly Commended (Rye Salt Marsh) in the Abstract Views category.
